How the Held Method Works

The Held Method works with the unconscious: nervous system patterns that formed early in life before the brain was developed enough to access choice.

Many personal development approaches work with the conscious mind alone.

Held moves from the inside out.

Rather than focusing on effort or improvement, we focus on regulation and resourcing the nervous system, and addressing the unconscious beliefs that sit underneath familiar patterns.

When those beliefs are met and no longer needed, patterns soften and release naturally through safety, clarity, and integration.

Why I do this work.

This work is rooted in a commitment to authenticity and joy.

That commitment grew first through motherhood, then through facing stage IV cancer, and now through midlife. Each chapter clarified what matters, what no longer fits, and what it means to live with presence.

The tools I use shaped how I work by deepening my capacity for presence. They helped me return to myself.

That perspective lives at the heart of The Held Method.
